It’s always nice for a wedding to have that personal touch and with the average cost of flowers for typical nuptials coming in at around £1,200 according to the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners, wouldn’t it be nice to do your own?
With the right choice of flowers, foliage and clever containers, there’s lots you can do to create a memorable wedding in full bloom.
Be realistic about your time and skills and the availability of willing and confident helpers. Keep it simple. Remember, you’ll need transport and a cool, shady place for storage. Plunge the stems into water as soon as possible, leaving plenty to snip off and arrange either the day before or on the morning of the wedding.
Don’t stick with just one colour, go for combinations of deeper and lighter shades and contrasting colours and use different shapes and sizes.
Roses - please see notes in the Pick Your Own section.

Foliage is more than just a filler. It provides essential contrast, enhances colour and contributes depth and texture to a bouquet. Foliage can create arrangements that captivate and charm, adding a touch of natural greenery.
See our Foliage page for more information.
