It’s always nice for a wedding to have that personal touch and with the average cost of flowers for typical nuptials coming in at around £1,200 according to the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners, wouldn’t it be nice to do your own?
With the right choice of flowers, foliage and clever containers, there’s lots you can do to create a memorable wedding in full bloom.
Be realistic about your time and skills and the availability of willing and confident helpers. Keep it simple. Remember, you’ll need transport and a cool, shady place for storage. Plunge the stems into water as soon as possible, leaving plenty to snip off and arrange either the day before or on the morning of the wedding.
Don’t stick with just one colour, it will look dull on the photographs. Go for combinations of deeper and lighter shades and contrasting colours and use different shapes and sizes.
We can pick the best blooms and condition them overnight for you. Let us know how much to pick and if you have a colour preference or, just let us pick what's looking best on the day.
We also have plenty of foliage - please see our Foliage page.
To pick and condition for you we charge £1 per stem and for large Peonies, Lisianthus and Hydrangeas £1.50 a stem, grasses are 50p per stem.
Alternatively, you could arrange for a few friends and family members to come and help you pick your own for £25 a bucket with special flowers mentioned above charged separately.
Book in for any day of the week - usually Thursday for a Saturday wedding.
